Via het zeer lezenswaardige All Your Metadata Shall Be In Water Writ en daarna Iconoclasm kwam ik eerder deze week terecht op het Noun Project:

The symbols on this site are and always will remain free. We believe symbols can not be effectively shared with the world if they are not free.
SIMPLE
Everyone likes simplicity. We want you to be able to come to our site and effortlessly find and obtain what you are looking for. Simple as that.

Het is een enorme verzameling van vrij te gebruiken, oude en nieuwe iconen.

Enige - nogal grote - nadeel is: de te downloaden bestanden zijn in het SVG-formaat. Je kunt ze dus niet zomaar in je powerpoint-presentatie of weblog zetten. Al schijnen moderne browsers er wel mee uit de voeten te kunnen.
